he WIC Program at Greater Meridian Health Clinic, Inc. began in 1990.
Our WIC department is ran by a licensed registered dietitian—Tammy Shadwick, MS, RD, LD. PhD—
and has continued to serve pregnant, breastfeeding, an postpartum women, infants and children—up
to five years of age who qualify.

WIC is the acronym for Women, Infants and Children. According to the Mississippi State Department of Health, the purpose of WIC is to provide supplemental food and nutrition education at no cost to pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, and to infants and children; to serve as an adjunct to good health care during critical times of growth and development, to prevent health problems, and to improve the health status of these person.” Categories Defined:
